Two due in court over Waterford murder

Two men are to appear at a special sitting of Youghal district court to face charges on the murder of 45-year-old Sergio Abreu.

Two Scottish nationals have been charged with the murder of the Portugese man.

Gardai had been questioning a local woman and three men about the death of 45-year-old Sergio Abreu, whose body was discovered yesterday morning in a field near Ardmore.

The two Scottish men are facing charges under the Non-Fatal Offences Against the Person Act.

They are due to appear in court in Youghal at 6.30pm.
