Liffey swim launched

One of Dublin’s great traditions, the Toyota Liffey Swim, was launched today.

This year's will be the 83rd race, with the first race held in 1920.

The race will take place on Saturday, September 7, and will start from Arran Quay, by Liam Mellows Bridge, Queens Street, and will finish at Customs House Quay.

The men’s race will start at noon and the women go off an hour later at 1pm.
