Cullen says summit deal is 'good overall'
Environment Minister Martin Cullen says the overall deal struck at the Earth Summit in Johannesburg is good for Ireland.
However, environmentalists are slamming the pact, which recommends increased use of renewable energy but falls short of setting any firm targets.
The Taoiseach is addressing delegates at the Earth Summit this morning. The summit draws to a close tomorrow.
Minister Cullen says he understands the disappointment of Green groups, but believes the compromise struck is a good deal overall.
