Nuclear protestors gather in Dublin

A flotilla of boats have gathered in Dublin this afternoon in protest at the arrival of nuclear shipments in the Irish Sea in the next 10 days.

Greenpeace’s Rainbow Warrior, along with 20 other boats, are meeting on the river Liffey as they prepare to confront the British Nuclear ships in the coming fortnight.

A cargo of rejected plutonium from Japan is due for Cumbria.

Protestors claim that the shipment is capable of having the explosive power of 50 nuclear bombs.

Greenpeace have insisted however that they will not block the route of the two heavily-armed boats.
