SIPTU to meet Braun management over Carlow lay-offs

SIPTU has convened a meeting with senior management at the Braun plant in Carlow today in an effort to avert the company’s plans to lay off 225 workers.

The electronic appliances manufacturer announced yesterday that it intends to cut 135 permanent and 90 temporary jobs over the coming six months.
