Extra funds granted to Clár programme

Extra funding for community initiatives in Clár areas have been announced by Minister for the Gaeltacht Eamonn O’Cuiv.

Clár is a programme designed to tackle the problem of depopulation and lack of services in rural areas.

The 16 areas in Connacht, Munster and Leinster have lost 50% of their population in the last 75 years.
