Report shows Govt failure to tackle drink-driving

The level of drink-driving in Ireland is not decreasing, according to a report commissioned by the Government.

The Fianna Fail-Progressive Democrats coalition set a target for a 20% reduction in road fatalities in its 1998-2002 road safety strategy, but the leaked report says this strategy has failed.
