FG hits out at bus links to Swords
Fine Gael Transport spokesman Denis Naughten has hit out at the bus links to Swords in Dublin.
"It is a disaster that Swords, a town bigger than the city of Kilkenny, does not have a dedicated bus service and it is a sad symbol of the totally inadequate public transport in the capital," said Deputy
Naughten.
"There are 28,000 people living in Swords - more than in the city of Kilkenny - and yet 90% of the
buses to or from the city have to take a 20 minute detour through the airport.
"On average, it now takes well over an hour to travel the twelve miles to the centre of Dublin," he said.
