Man dies in Co Mayo housefire

A man has died in a house fire in Co. Mayo.

The fire broke out in an apartment in Castlebar shortly before 7am this morning.

It is thought the blaze started in the bedroom. The man, who was in his fifties, has not been named.

The man is believed to have been the sole occupant of the apartment in Tara Court, Castlebar.
