Giant Causeway safety measures re-examined after freak accident

Safety measures are being re-examined at the North’s most popular tourist attraction after a freak wave swept a crowd of children into the sea.

Eight youngsters and a man escaped serious injury after being plunged into choppy waters at the Giant’s Causeway in North Antrim.

Five of the youngsters were from Derry, and the three others were their cousins from England.
