FG call for Dail to be recalled to discuss job losses
Fine Gael is calling for the Dail to be recalled on Monday to discuss the scale of proposed job losses at Health boards across the country.
The party is accusing the Government of telling lies about health cuts and the economy in general.
The Western Health Board is also coming under heavy criticism for the cutting of 200 administration jobs.
Mayo Fine Gael deputy, Michael Ring, says the Chief Executive of the Western Health board, Dr Shiela Ryan, must explain why so many jobs are going.
"I have to ask the question of the Chief Executive and the Health Board were they carrying 200 people too many and if they were she has questions to answer.
"The Minister asked for 85, why is she now removing 200? When the General election was over these cutbacks were asked for, why weren’t we informed? I can tell you she has questions to answer, the Minister has questions to answer."
