Govt urged to find new Community Games venue

Organisers of the Community Games have called on the Government to find a new venue for the event, which is normally held in the Mosney holiday centre in Co Meath.

Management at Mosney has informed the organisers that the venue will only be available to stage the games for another two years.

The organisers have said that the future of the games is now in doubt because there is no other suitable venue in Ireland that can accommodate 3,000 people in a closed, secure environment.
