Coughlan admits Dept facing cutbacks

Mary Coughlan, the Minister for Social and Family Affairs, has admitted that her department will be making cutbacks as part of government efforts to control public spending.

Ms Coughlan said pension payments remain the Government’s priority, but other areas will face cutbacks.
