Police accused of cutting fire hoses

The police service of Northern Ireland is being accused of deliberately cutting fire hoses used by Nationalist residents in the Short Strand area of Belfast.

Locals had connected hoses to water mains to help put out fires caused by petrol bombs thrown at their homes by loyalists.
