Gardai seek public’s help after security van raid

Gardai in Dublin are seeking help from the public following an armed raid on a security van at the Omni shopping centre in Santry this morning.

Two raiders armed with a shotgun and a handgun reportedly escaped with around €420,000 following the robbery.

The pair escaped in a Black Volvo which was subsequently found abandoned in Coolock.

No shots were fired during the raid and nobody was injured.
