Off-licence owners to undergo responsibility training
Off-licence owners are due to begin a course on the responsibilities of selling alcohol this morning.
More than 60 people are expected to participate in the course, which is designed to help tackle underage drinking and anti-social issues arising from alcohol abuse.
Jim McCabe, a spokesman for the National Off-Licence Association, said: “There are pubs and off licences being closed down and convictions being made and we really feel that a lot of people don’t understand the full picture.
"In a way, this course looks at the overall responsibility of serving alcohol.”
