Family held hostage in Derry siege

Police in Derry have surrounded a house where a pregnant woman, her partner and a young girl are being held hostage by two armed men.

The siege on Duncreggan Road is believed to be related to a robbery earlier today at the Pennyburn Credit Union in the city.

The getaway car used in that robbery rammed two police vehicles before officers opened fire, made one arrest and recovered a sum of money.
