The wife of a postmaster who was abducted in south Dublin this morning has reportedly been released in the Pimlico area of the city.

The wife of a postmaster who was abducted in south Dublin this morning has reportedly been released in the Pimlico area of the city.

The woman in her 50s was kidnapped by three armed men at her home in Terenure at around 9am.

Her abductors reportedly demanded a ransom from her husband, but no money was handed over.

The woman was not injured, but is being treated for shock.
