The Ulster Unionist Party has rejected the IRA’s apology for the deaths of innocent civilians during its 30-year campaign in Northern Ireland.

Party leader David Trimble also said that yesterday’s apology does not absolve British Prime Minister Tony Blair from taking sanctions against Sinn Fein because of alleged breaches of the IRA ceasefire.
