The European Commission has appointed the chief executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland to the board of the newly formed European Food Safety Authority.

The European Commission has appointed the chief executive of the Food Safety Authority of Ireland to the board of the newly formed European Food Safety Authority.

Dr Patrick Wall is the only Irish representative on the 14-member board. He will serve a six-year term with the European body and will continue to serve as CEO of the FSAI.
