Two die Louth in road accident

Two young women in their twenties have been killed in a road accident in Co Louth.

The accident happened on the Dublin-Belfast road at Monasterboice shortly before 10.30pm last night.

Their car, which was travelling south towards Drogheda, collided head-on with a northbound vehicle.

Two men in the second car received serious injuries and were taken to Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital in Drogheda.
