Martin pledges to restore full service at Monaghan hospital
The Minister for Health is pledging to do everything he can to have surgeries restored at Monaghan General hospital.
Following a meeting with local TD’s today however Michael Martin admitted that he does not know when that will happen.
Operations at the hospital have been cancelled since Tuesday, as there is a lack of anaesthetists.
Minister Martin says the immediate problem is however beyond his control.
"I met with TD's today and said I would do everything I can to restore full services to Monaghan hospital."
