Fine Gael’s Gay Mitchell has added his voice to growing criticism of the Government’s decision to cut overseas aid in an effort to control public spending.

Aid agencies revealed last week that the Government had reduced its contribution to aid packages by €32m and expressed concern that Ireland may not now meet its UN aid target.
