Ulster Unionist leader David Trimble has denied that his repeated demands for sanctions against Sinn Fein are putting pressure on the institutions set up under the Good Friday Agreement.

Speaking at today’s meeting of the North-South Ministerial Council, Mr Trimble also denied that he is planning to snub the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, and British Prime Minister Tony Blair at next Thursday’s emergency talks on the peace process.
