The Irish Farmers Association has called for a meeting between the Government and officials from the dairy industry to discuss falling milk prices.

The association claimed today that milk prices have fallen by 30%. Spokesman Michael Murphy said: "It is a critical time of the year, in the main production season for dairy farmers, and we do not want to see any further decline in milk prices going forward."
