Gardaí confirm €20,000 heroin seizure

Gardaí in Dublin have confirmed a €20,000 heroin seizure in open ground in Ballyfermot.

Gardaí found the drugs stash just before 6pm yesterday evening.

The seizure was made following an ongoing investigation by the local drugs unit.

Two men have been arrested in relation to the find. They are being held in Ballyfermot Garda station under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.

The men can be held for up to seven days under the Act.
