Govt and EU to make neutrality declarations

The Government and the European Union are preparing to make separate declarations that the controversial Nice Treaty does not affect Ireland’s military neutrality.

The declarations are expected to be agreed at an EU summit in the Spanish city of Seville over the next two days.
