Cork man dies from massive haemorrhage
A Cork man bled to death from a stab wound to the left groin that severed a major artery, a murder trial jury heard today.
The Deputy State Pathologist, Dr Marie Cassidy, said the deceased man, Noel McCarthy, had suffered a massive retro-peritoneal haemorrhage caused by a deep stab wound to the left groin that transected the femoral artery.
