Deenihan demands cash for tourism industry
Fine Gael spokesman on tourism Jimmy Deenihan has demanded that the Government put a serious cash injection into encouraging overseas visitors to travel to Ireland as the sector faces a 14% slump in visitors this year.
Deputy Deenihan has asked for a serious debate in the Dail to be held before the summer recess to discuss the significant fall in tourist numbers resulting in serious financial hardship for the tourism industry and the inevitable loss of jobs in this sector.
