The United States special envoy to Ireland, Richard Haass, has urged community leaders in Belfast to take action to stop sectarian violence at Catholic-Protestant interfaces in the city.

Speaking after talks with Bertie Ahern in Dublin this evening, Mr Haass said: "At the end of the day, the answers aren’t here in Dublin, they’re not in London, they’re not in Washington," he said.
