Party leaders to discuss draft agreement on coalition
Fianna Fail leader Bertie Ahern and Progressive Democrats leader Mary Harney are expected to meet today as negotiations on the formation of a new Government continue.
The two parties’ negotiating teams reached an impasse yesterday, with differences remaining between the two sides on a number of substantial issues.
They reached a draft agreement on a new coalition that will now be reviewed by the party leaders, who will be hoping to find a compromise on the outstanding issues.
