Young girl dies in Donegal road accident

An eight-year-old girl has died following a road accident in Co Donegal.

The child was knocked down as she crossed the road in Termon last night.

She was pronounced dead shortly after being admitted to Letterkenny General Hospital.

The child’s name has not yet been released but she is believed to be from the locality.

This is the third fatality on Donegal roads in the past week.
