A man was arrested today for questioning about the seizure of a major haul of republican explosives in Northern Ireland over two years ago.

A man was arrested today for questioning about the seizure of a major haul of republican explosives in Northern Ireland over two years ago.

He was being quizzed about the discovery of 500lbs of home-made explosives when police stopped two cars heading for Belfast on the main A1 dual carriageway outside Hillsborough, Co Down, in March 2000.
