The Green Party has said that it will insist on a pledge not to build waste incinerators if it is involved in negotiation for a new Government following the May 17 election.

Speaking today, party chairman John Gormley said a national waste management authority is a non-negotiable Green Party demand which must be honoured by any party seeking the Greens’ support.
