A new MRBI poll shows a three-way fight for the last two North Kerry seats, between Fine Gael, Labour and Fianna Fail.

A new MRBI poll shows a three-way fight for the last two North Kerry seats, between Fine Gael, Labour and Fianna Fail.

The poll, commissioned by Radio Kerry, has Sinn Fein’s Martin Ferris out in front on 28%.

It shows former Labour leader Dick Spring on 23%, Fine Gael’s Jimmy Deenihan on 21% and Fianna Fail’s Tom McEllistrim on 18%.

Senator Dan Kiely is on 9%, and his transfers will be crucial in deciding if Fianna Fail lose their seat.

Analysis of Senator Kiely’s transfer rate shows him giving 60% to his running mate, which gives Councillor Tom McEllistrim a strong chance of holding the seat.

If he does, it could be either of the other two sitting TDs which lose out.
