Farmer groups are slamming the proposal by Labour to consider a ban on milk from cows born before 1996.

The Party’s spokesperson on food safety, Mary Upton, said a report from the Food Safety Authority of Ireland suggests that consumers may be drinking milk from cattle in the latter stages of BSE.
