Justice Minister slams election promises on crime
Justice Minister John O’Donoghue has launched an attack on opposition crime policies, saying Fianna Fail is the only party which has submitted workable proposals.
Mr O’Donoghue accused Fine Gael and the Labour Party of talking tough about tackling crime, but said they will not be able to deliver on their promises. He also criticised Sinn Fein’s proposal to abolish the non-jury Special Criminal Court, which has been criticised by human rights groups.
