Dempsey defends waste policy

Environment Minister, Noel Dempsey defended Fianna Fail’s policy on charging for household waste collections, which has become an election issue in many areas.

Mr Dempsey said Fianna Fail is committed to the polluter pays principle, under which those who create pollution and waste must pay to have it dealt with.
