The biggest military exercise by the defence forces in 30 years is underway in Co Wicklow.

The biggest military exercise by the defence forces in 30 years is underway in Co Wicklow.

The intensive training is intended to help troops to prepare for peacekeeping duty with both the UN and the European Rapid Reaction Force.

Some 750 troops from the Southern Brigade are taking part in the operation.
