INOU criticises Govt's Special Savings Scheme

The National Organisation for the Unemployed has expressed deep concern about the cost of the Exchequer of the Government’s Special Savings Incentive Scheme.

The plan, which was designed to curb consumer spending and inflation, will cost an estimated €2.4bn over the next five years.
