Assembly votes against review of IRA ceasefire

A motion in the Northern Assembly calling on the British Government to review the IRA’s ceasefire has been defeated after the hardline DUP refused to back the call.

The motion fell by 38 votes to 29 after a heated debate in the chamber at Stormont.
