21-year-old Private Peadar Flaherty, from Trabane, was shot in the head last Monday while on UN peacekeeping duties in East Timor.

President Mary McAleese and the commander in chief and chief of staff of the Defence Forces are due to attend his funeral in Lettermore at noon today.
