Management say Shannon stopover will remain

Shannon airport’s general manager says the Government is committed to retaining the stopover.

It follows comments made by the Chairman of the Dublin Chamber Transport committee, who said the stopover must go.

Maurice Pratt told pilots that keeping it open accounts to an act of national sabotage.

Shannon Airport’s General Manager, Martin Moroney, has said he has been assured the stopover is here to stay however.
