Youth arrested after garda deaths due in court
One of the two youths arrested after the deaths of two gardai in south Dublin on Sunday will appear before Dun Laoghaire District Court this morning.
Gardai had sought a direction from the DPP that both be charged with manslaughter.
However, the 15-year-old is appearing on charges of burglary and car theft.
The boy was initially held for questioning under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act after being discharged from St James' Hospital, but has since been released from its provisions.
A second youth is still awaiting questioning by detectives upon his release from hospital.
