Church reaches settlements with Donegal abuse victims

The Catholic Church in Co Donegal has agreed out-of-court settlements with three people abused by paedophile priest Eugene Greene.

The Catholic Church in Co Donegal has agreed out-of-court settlements with three people abused by paedophile priest Eugene Greene.

Dr Phillip Boyce, the Bishop of Raphoe, confirmed the settlements this evening, but the amounts of money involved were not disclosed.

72-year-old Fr Greene is serving a 12-year prison sentence in the Curragh for raping and molesting altar boys over three decades in various parishes in Co Donegal.
