Tragic garda duo identified

The two gardaí who were killed after a stolen car rammed their patrol car on the Stillorgan dual carriageway at 6.30am today have been named.

Garda Anthony Tighe, a 53-year-old married man with four children was behind the wheel of the patrol car as they attempted to divert traffic out of the path of the stolen Mazda sports car.
