Gardai question man in connection with murder

A 23-year-old man was arrested last night in the Dublin area in connection with the murder of Patrick Pepper near St Stephen’s Green on Tuesday night.

The man is being held for questioning at Pearse St Garda Station under Section Four of the Criminal Justice Act.

A post mortem carried out on the body of 40-year-old Mr Pepper confirmed that he had suffered a violent death with severe facial wounds.

The man is expected to appear before Dublin District Court tomorrow morning on charges relating to the murder.
