Ahern urged to apologise to victim in rape case
Fine Gael’s Nora Owen has called on the Taoiseach, Bertie Ahern, to apologise to the victim at the centre of the rape case which led to Bobby Molloy’s resignation yesterday.
Mr Molloy stepped down after he made contact with the judge on behalf of the sister of the accused. Ms Owen said the fact that the Taoiseach rushed to Mr Molloy’s defence caused great hurt to the victim.
