Cardinal writes to abuse victims

Cardinal Desmond Connell has written to the survivors of child abuse to tell them he will attend a special mass to mark the bicentenary of the Christian Brothers order.

The survivors called on the Cardinal not to participate considering the sex abuse allegations against many of the Orders brothers.
