Electronic voting system officially launched

The Government today launched a campaign to publicise electronic voting procedures - set to be used for the first time in this year’s general election.

Press-button voting will be introduced on an experimental basis in three of the 41 Dáil constituencies in the election, now expected in the second week of May.
